Stills

PNG frames at a destination's exact pixels, from the cover and zooms, a spread or the playhead.

Pick Stills under Format in the Export dialog to save PNG frames at the exact pixels a destination wants, rendered at true resolution. A set downloads as one zip. Stills are offered for recordings only.

The Export dialog set to Stills with a destination picked
  • Destination picks the size: YouTube thumbnail, Chrome Web Store screenshot (the default), Chrome Web Store small promo tile, Chrome Web Store marquee, Product Hunt thumbnail, Product Hunt gallery, X feed image, LinkedIn feed image, OG card or GitHub social preview. The pixels come from the destination, so there is no quality row.
  • Frames picks the moments: The cover, then zooms takes the take's cover frame and the peak of every zoom (the default; it reads The cover when the take has no zooms), Spread takes frames spread evenly through the take, and Playhead takes the frame under the playhead.

The facts line counts the set, like 5 PNG · 1280 × 800 · Chrome Web Store screenshot. Press Export stills.

The cover is the Cover mark on the timeline ruler: the frame the take shows on your shelf. Drag it to choose your own moment before you export.

What each store and social card asks for, and how to fill a listing from one take, is on Store listings. The account gate is the same as for a video; see Export a video.
