Install the skills
One install line gives your agent the whole vos workflow.
One install line gives a coding agent the whole vos workflow as skills it can invoke by name.
npx skills add vosjs/skillsRun it in the project folder where the agent works, then restart the agent so it picks the skills up. The catalog is public at github.com/vosjs/skills.
What the skills carry
The skills are the difference between an agent that can call a CLI and an agent that ships watchable video. They encode the workflow and the taste:
- writing an
actions.jsonflow that records well, with the pacing rules that become the zoom plan - recording with
--strictso a broken flow fails loudly instead of shipping around a skipped step - the quality loop: validate, look at frames at every zoom apex, edit
doc.json, spot-check with a draft render, then render for real - the hosted loop: push private work, pull the human's changes, attribute every version
- cutting a recording you made yourself (
vos-cut): the agent reads the take's digest, the moments your cursor track says mattered with a footage frame and a crop each, narrates them into beats, editsdoc.jsonby exception over the planners, verifies with stills, and iterates with you through the version chain; a signed-off take becomes the seed of a series whose folder recipes carry the judgment
The commands underneath are the ordinary vos CLI; the
skills also install its package (@vosjs/cli) into the project when it is
missing.
The first ask
Using the product-video skill, make a 12 second product video of
https://example.com. Show me the frames before the final render. The agent proposes a direction and asks for anything important that is missing. You do not need to write a shot list.
For a recording you made yourself, hand over the take and the ask in one line; the agent looks before it cuts and states the ask it cut to in the version note, so you can correct either.
Using the vos-cut skill, cut https://vos.so/vos/<id> into a 30 second
product video of the Frame panel. No voice, captions per beat.Related
