Export

Export a video

Pick MP4 or WebM, a quality up to 4K and a frame rate, and read the facts line.

Press Export in the topbar. The dialog asks only the questions your format has, then prints one line that says exactly what the button will produce.

The Export dialog: Format, Quality and Frame rate rows, then the facts line
  • Format is MP4 or WebM for a recording; a program also offers GIF. A format your browser cannot encode stays visible but disabled, with the reason: MP4 and WebM need Chrome or Edge. GIF renders at 10 fps with a 256 color palette.
  • Quality is 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K; 1080p is the default. Sizes follow the document's own aspect ratio, so portrait and square work is not letterboxed, and every export renders true pixels.
  • Frame rate is 30 fps or 60 fps; 30 is the default.
  • Render on appears on saved work and reads This device; Cloud · soon is not yet pickable.

The facts line reads like 1920 × 1080 · 30 fps · 12.3s · MP4. Press Export MP4; the button shows a percent while it encodes, and Cancel export stops it. The file takes the document's name.

Signed out, the dialog reads Free to download. No watermark. and offers Sign in to export. Signing in happens in a popup, so the editor stays put and the export resumes. Recording and editing need no account; exporting needs a free one, and export stays free at every resolution up to 4K with no watermark. A take runs up to 30 minutes.

PNG frames at a channel's size are Stills; the program as a page or source is The program itself.
