Record

Record a window or the screen

Record more than one tab, and what that costs the automatic zoom.

Pick Window or Entire screen on the record page to record more than one tab. Press Start recording; Chrome asks what to share, then a 3-2-1 countdown.

  • This tab gives the sharpest auto-zoom, because the cursor is tracked on the page itself.
  • Window gives a best-effort auto-zoom. The cursor track is mapped onto the window, so keep the window where it is: a window moved or resized during the take drops its cursor track, and the take has no auto-zoom.
  • Entire screen gives no auto-zoom. Add zooms yourself on the timeline; see Add and delete zooms.

Where Chrome's share dialog offers Also share system audio, tick it to capture what your computer plays. The microphone works as on a tab; see Webcam and microphone.

While recording, the record page offers Stop and edit, Pause, Resume and Delete. Restart is not offered on a window or screen take. Stop with ⌘⇧S or the vosso icon, and the take opens in the studio. Takes run up to 30 minutes.
