Voice and levels

Set your narration level, the tab audio fader, and how music ducks under voice.

previous← SoundtracknextBackdrop →

Select the clip on the Mic row to open the Voice panel and set your narration's level. The Mic row is your microphone, recorded on its own track; it cuts and splits with the footage on the Video row.

  • Level is the one fader. It sets how loud your voice plays through the whole take.

The tab's own sound rides with the footage instead. Select the footage clip on the Video row and the Recording panel shows a Tab audio fader, a mute glyph with a percentage: the sound the tab itself played, carried by the footage. Your voice keeps its own level on the Mic row.

Music ducks under the voice when the music clip's Duck under voice switch is on; see Soundtrack. Recording the microphone is on Webcam and microphone, and the tab's sound on Tab audio.
